Post-Reunion Observations from Barbara Scrafford Gerhardt
Some thoughts on the 50-year reunion, the first reunion I attended:
• A 50-year reunion sounds like a long time but it doesn’t seem like a long time.
• Casual dress for a lot of the men in California means Hawaiian shirts.
• Some people looked the same; others were slightly modified.
• Everyone was very nice and there was no indication of cliques.
• Some people had heartache in their homes in high school and we never knew. Some people have had heartaches since high school and it feels good to share them.
• Many people have had vocational success and have been blessed with wonderful families and it feels good to share them.
• California has perfect weather!
• We grew up in a very nice area and received an excellent education. I wish I could tell my parents how much I appreciate them.
• It was great to see everyone!
