The Class of ‘69 is still going “Back to the Beach” on Reunion Weekend, but the new starting point for the Sunday, September 24 Picnic and Beach Walk is Miramar Park in Torrance.

In light of the 3-day BeachLife Music Festival drawing large crowds to Redondo Beach on the day of the Picnic, the Reunion Team made the decision to move the Picnic to a less-congested location at Miramar Park, 201 Paseo de la Playa and Calle Miramar on the beach in South Torrance, a few blocks south of Avenue I.

From there, the Beach Walk will follow the same route along the Esplanade on the bluff above Redondo Beach, now going south to north instead of north to south. Same beautiful coastal views!

Remember to bring your own picnic lunch and nonalcoholic beverage (per park rules); picnic blanket or beach chairs; and extra chairs for out-of-towners if you can.

Parking options:

1) Metered street parking along the Esplanade north of the park at $1.50/hour can be paid by credit card.

2) Pay lot south of the park at $7/day with a machine pay system. Accessible parking here.

3) Free street parking in nearby residential area.
