William “Bill” Baddorf Obituary
Lyman, SC – William D. Baddorf passed away peacefully on September 1, 2020 at 68 years of age. William was the second of five children to the late Robert and Harriet Baddorf. He was also the loving husband of 50 years to Karen Baddorf.
At the age of 6, William accepted Christ as his savior, went to church as often as he could and would preach to his siblings growing up. In his lifetime, William started 6 businesses, began or worked in 7 Christian schools, worked as a consultant to Christian schools and churches, and served as elder for several churches ending with Community Bible Church of Holly Springs which first met in his living room.
William’s dream was always to fly and he achieved that goal in 1976 with the United States Air Force. He also flew with Continental Airlines until he retired. He later joined the Civil Air Patrol where he gave orientation flights to cadets. William earned his PhD in Organizational Systems and taught at North Greenville University, Liberty University and Southern Wesley University.
William is survived by his children; Colette Doss (Kirk), Robert Baddorf (Esther), Bill Baddorf (Kina), Chris Baddorf (Crystal), and Tamara Cunningham (Glen). His grandchildren; Summer, Bry and Jamie Steele, Moriah, Walker, Savannah Steele, Nathan Doss, John, James, Jeremiah, Joshua, Jason Baddorf, Elijah, Lily, Susanna, Amelia, William Baddorf, David, Daniel, Aria, Alex Baddorf, Michael, Jonathon, Andrew, Abigail, and Nicholas Cunningham and his great grandchildren; Serena Steele and Gunner Steele.
William deeply loved his family.
A service will be held Sunday September 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Community Bible Church of Holly Springs; 2525 Holly Springs Road Inman, SC 29349.
