Carol Morris-Ward (Nini) Obituary
A 46 year resident of San Pedro passed away the morning of Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Kaiser Permanente LA Medical Center. Her passion for helping people guided her life through several careers as a special education assistant and substitute teacher, substance abuse counselor and finally, an abstract mixed media artist. Her work won awards at several galleries in Rancho Palos Verdes and the South Bay. Carol also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and horseback riding.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Jack Morris; and her daughter, Kelly Ray (Scott). She is survived by her husband, Brian Ward, her children, Nick Adams (Morgan) of Upland and Demi Aguirre (Jeff) of San Pedro; ten grandchildren, Bethany Willoughby (Jeremy) of Bowling Green, KY; Amy Ramirez (Jesus) of San Pedro; Elijah, Ellie, Anna and Benjamin Ray of Smiths Grove, KY; Karis and Niko Adams of Upland; Noah and Kelly Aguirre of San Pedro; and five (soon to be six) great-grandchildren. Carol is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Giunta (Maurice) of Alachua, FL and Dana Taramina (Andrzej) of Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
Carol’s positive attitude and encouraging personality was felt by all who knew her. Donations in her memory can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Ride to Fly Program, 50 Narcissa Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
