Comments from Larry’s sister, Penny Sander:

Larry moved to the Washington, DC, area after he graduated from UCLA in 1973. His family lived in Northern Virginia, and he settled in that area. He started working at McDonald’s as an assistant manager, and he worked his way up the ranks to manager and regional manager. He and his wife and son moved to the Chicago area for a few years, then on to the Boston area. In the mid-1980s, he and his wife decided to become McDonalds franchise owners and moved to Downington, PA. Between the mid-80s and when he retired in about 2012, they owned between three and five successful restaurants. They supported local school groups and kids’ sports teams. Larry retired and moved to Bonita Springs, FL.
